Aretha Franklin has reportedly been personally asked by Clive Davis to perform at the funeral of her goddaughter, Whitney Houston. Arrangements are still being made for the legend’s burial, but the Queen of Soul has agreed to Davis’ request.

And while the ceremony itself may be invite-only, fans will be able to take part in the service honoring the life of the incomparable Whitney Houston this Saturday via the Internet. The singer’s publicist, Kristen Foster, announced that The Associated Press will be allowed a camera at the Saturday ceremony in Newark, N.J. The AP will subsequently stream the memorial online via http://livestream.com/aplive. The event will also be made available to broadcasters via satellite.
