It’s official. Adele is having the best year ever.

The British export leads the pack of being the top finalist for the 2012 Billboard Awards. Adele is a finalist in 18 categories.  She’s up for Top Artist, Top 200 Artist, and Top Female Artist. Berry Gordy’s offspring, LMFAO, trail Adele by one category. Rihanna, who was a finalist in the most categories last year, was mentioned in 13 slots. Rapper Lil Wayne and pop star Lady Gaga share 10 mentions.

Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, and LMFAO will be performing at the awards ceremony. The show will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on My 20th. Check back as we will announce more performers as they are revealed.
