Can’t say we’re surprised.
iLoveMakonnen revealed he’s retiring from the rap game. After news broke that he’s no longer signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label, Makonnen seemed to be moving full speed ahead with his career and announced a new tour with “The Based God” Lil B.
But apparently, the Atlanta-based artist isn’t able to create the music he wants under Warner Music, so he’s planning to hang up his doll heads and retire.
Makonnen explained his decision on Twitter:
Despite announcing his retirement, Makonnen is currently on the road touring overseas.
As of right now, we have no idea if Makonnen will ever release his major label debut. However, we have a sneaking suspicion he may be talking a lot of sh*t and will continue to release new music throughout the year.
